[ She smiles down at the little lion, moving its front paws. It's strange, to think that something so...material ought to belong to her. Nothing did, really, but she belonged to everything. Perhaps in that sense everything belonged to her as well as long as they were one.
But this is one thing out of all the matter in the universe. This tiny, soft...cute little thing.
It belongs to her. And just her.
Well, Lance too.
She smooths her fingers along its back.
At the mention of attending again, Allura brightens immediately. ]
Of course. When we wake up tomorrow, I'll talk to Shiro immediately. We'll make it a big trip and all go together.
[ Though he wonders and doubts they'd see a blue lion like this again. It's been several years since anyone saw the Lions of Voltron. For a little while he's quiet, watching her fawn over the little stuffed animal, remembering how she'd loved it the day she first received it. ]
There's more of your stuff back on Earth. I think Coran has the rest on Altea. There's not much, but I'm sure it'll jog some memories.
[ She smiles at the thought. Something to look forward to--ah, she's thinking forward in time. The moment stretched across past and future, nothing has ever been so linear. But this will be--a specific point to work towards.
It's nice. And yet also seems difficult. Why wait when you don't have to?
She looks up immediately. ]
I have more "stuff"?
[ A pause as she recalls Lance's apology in her memory. ]
[ Lance catches her, oddly shell shocked. He loved to tease, but Allura was always on step ahead of him. It's odd and welcome as she chides his name, rightfully so, and his heart thunders as he holds her, his smile growing as his eyes smolder, and for a moment a little laugh catches his voice before he can find words. ]
We have so much to look forward to, Allura. [ He stares for a beat, wanting to remember her just as she is right now, before pressing his lips to her cheek in a big ol' smooch. ]
[ Lance pauses, thinking, but sighs a moment with a smile. ]
I don't believe many people remember everything. Probably, you'll remember things I forgot by now. That's not so bad. [ He brushes his hand over her hair. ] And we'll make new memories as we go, like today.
I think so. Everyone feels time differently. Today flew by for me.
[ Seven years felt like a hundred. Suddenly one day felt like a second. He rests his forehead against hers as he wraps his arms tight around her waist, one hand shameless as it smooths up her back and remembers how soft her skin is. If not for a heavy old sadness, the familiar touch could have made him feel as if nothing had changed; that their lives had been better years before. ]
I can't imagine how it must feel after being everything for so long. [ He laughs lightly. ]
[ Allura closes her eyes at the feeling of his forehead against hers, of his hand on her back. It's comforting. It's nice. It connects her to the here and now, reminding her what it's like to be a singular whole.
Though, no, she's not singular, is she? One of the first things she had come to realize was Lance--the other part of her.
His comment gets a huff and she cocks her head slightly, incidentally nuzzling his nose with hers. ]
I'm not sure how to...vocalize it. I'm not even sure if I fully understand it. I just felt connected to so many things, and then it was as if one by one those connections were severed and I rolled back. Perhaps that's what led me to this form. I don't know what happened before or after.
[ Though, it's important to note...she brings one hand down to rest on his chest. ]
But I am connected here. You found me and made me whole.
[ Excuse his humbled embarrassment as he garbles his words.: ] Well, I don't-- I can't really... take all the, er.... [ credit. He sighs, amused but frustrated with his limited vocabulary. ]
Something called me out here, Allura. Out there. Maybe the universe didn't need you any more to live. Maybe you pulled me here when you pulled back together.
[ There's a Hot Ass moment where he has to rack his brain for what "Sleeping" means, but nope, it definitely is just whatever verb form of to sleep. No strings attached. No hidden meanings. ]
[ He frowns a little, unsure if it's appropriate to totally strip when Allura doesn't really know much of what's going on, but.... It also doesn't quite feel right to be shy around her, either. She's already seen him topless, anyway, so he sheds the shirt without a second thought before kicking his pants off with just the slightest bit of reluctance. He stands proud in the end, bare, and smiles at Allura for a moment that she can have a proper look at him. A lot of old scars, some as old as the first month they met, carve his figure, but he's certainly not the worst off of all the Paladins. He's still slim, but certainly not the gangling eighteen-year-old he once was. When he's sure she's had her fair look at a body distinctly different from her own, he moves into the bed and pats the spot next to him. ]
[ And look she does, curious and interested. She notes the places they differ and is delighted by the things that feel inherently familiar. She finds herself scanning the width of his chest and following a line down from to his navel---
Then he moves. She blinks and follows suit, taking a seat next to him. ]
Really? [ He muses, a smirk tugging his lips and his eyebrow cocking. ] I think I like looking at you, too.
[ Sorry, Allura, but it is a little funny, and the amusement shows in his eyes as he grins at her. ] You probably don't remember what being into someone is, huh?
[ The turn of phrase is what confuses her more than anything else. Fondness and love are something that she understands, or has remembered, throughout the day through her interactions with her friends and family. Attraction may be a little different. She tilts her head slightly. ]
"Being into someone"?
[ She raises a brow and pokes his chest. ]
Am I supposed to be in you?
[ That seems difficult now that they're both solid. ]
Haha, maybe not that exactly.... [ He lolls his head to the side, immediately understanding where the confusion is, humming and hawing. ] I can't remember the word.... [ he mutters as he tries to find it. ]
That feeling when you want to touch someone a lot?
[ Lance smiles, soft and sweet, doubtful she totally understands him, but so much of this felt like pieces were falling into place exactly where they're meant to be that he can't feel wholly guilty. He shifts a little closer to her and starts to guide her just a little, bringing her legs up to rest in his lap. His hand smooths along her thigh, looking happy as he watches her eyes. ] That makes two of us.
[ When he's sure they're all settled together, he presses forward for a kiss, warm and inviting. ]
[ There's no resistance as he positions her and she finds that this is a rather enjoyable position to be in, too. She gets a flash--a short one, of the two of them resting back against the small alcove for the bed on the very same ship--and Allura knows that this is where she's supposed to be.
Into him.
She doesn't wait to be kissed this time, instead meeting him halfway as her eyes fall shut. They've shared a few kisses since he found her, but they've been brief, like a silent form of communication and reassurance as he showed her around the ship. Now she feels that she has a moment to enjoy it. Less emotionally needy than the first on Oriande, but slow and savoring.
Allura lets the lion drop onto the mattress as she mimics the motion the hand on her thigh, instead up along his bicep. ]

Anything sparkly?

Well... I could tell you, but that would destroy the surprise, wouldn't it?

[ What a tease!
She loops her arms around his shoulders, holding onto the lion behind his back. ]
Very well. Keep your secrets. Then I have another thing to look forward to.

Yes.
[ But she's quiet for a moment, thoughtful. ]
Lance...will that be enough? I may not be able to remember everything.

It'll be fun.

[ She muses on that, walking her fingers up the back of his neck in a familiar fashion, one that she seems to know instinctively. ]
It feels like such a short amount of time, but also like it was the first time there was time. Does that make sense?

[ That seems reasonable enough to her. For now. ]
And now we're here. Sleeping.
[ Well... ]
no subject
Uh.....
This isn't sleeping. ....Do you want to sleep?
no subject
[ Oh.
Hm.
Allura might have been embarrassed before, but right now it's. Well. It is what it is. There's a lot she's yet to remember, after all.
She's a little embarrassed. ]
I had assumed--
[ Since they came in there...to sleep. Right? ]
...I'm not sure. Is it enjoyable?
no subject
I mean, I think so. Here, follow my lead. [ He steps back and moves toward the bed, drawing the covers back, but stops after a moment. ]
Do you mind if I undress a little?
no subject
She shakes her head. ]
You are used to feeling corporeal, but I would like to know what you look like.
[ Strip, Lance. ]
